Это интересно! По мнению Общества немецкого языка словом 2008 года явилось "Financial crisis" (in German it's a word) as the most frequently used in public discourse.
"Finanzkrise" ist das Wort des Jahres. Diese Entscheidung traf die Gesellschaft für deutsche Sprache. Zur Begründung hieß es, der Ausdruck sei seit Anfang des Jahres in der öffentlichen Diskussion präsent and characterizing the dramatic developments in the banking, real estate and financial sector. In second place came the term "gambled". In third place is called "theft" to describe the illegal use and disclosure of electronically stored personal data. In fourth place are the "Hessian conditions" that describe the failure to form a government in Hesse.
